Have You Struggled to Stick with Your Movement Goals in the Past?
You are not alone. We all know that movement is good for our overall health, but there can be a wide variety of factors that can get between us and the gym. That's not us "making excuses", that's just life. As a personal trainer with over ten years of experience, I love helping folks discover what movement they enjoy to build a lasting movement habit. I have worked with many clients who are navigating long-term injuries or chronic illness and helped them reconnect with exercise in a way that improves their day-to-day quality of life. Many coaches out there want you to think that you're struggling because you're not trying hard enough. You are enough and I am here to help support you by taking the guesswork out of exercise and being your accountability buddy, Let's do this!

"Honoring the Body with Body-Positive Fitness"
"One of the Body Positive Fitness Alliances’s major tenets is that “all people are worthy of health, happiness, and access to fitness NOW.” This means “embracing movement for the joy and quality of life that it brings to a person,” says Vineyard. How you choose to experience movement or exercise is not important. What is important is that the fitness activity adds joy and value to your life.”

At ShockYard we value the movement intrinsic to the activities of daily life. This series is a celebration of the work of lugging around small humans and silly strategies to make that work connect to your workouts. |
